I am excited about creating a blog and wiki for students to use. My idea for using the blog will be to give students an opportunity to respond in writing to what we are doing in class (Kind of like how you are having us respond after each class on this blog.). Knowing that their words will be published online has been a huge motivator for my students.
I liked looking at all of the gadgets you can add to your page. I would probably not use many of them, however, as they are not geared toward elementary students and may be more distracting than helpful.
Thanks again for allowing us to leave class early to attend our music program. You are a very accommodating instructor.
