Tom Nelson
Last class period came me a chance to explore the add-ons to PBwiki. I am impressed how many gimgaws and doodads have been added PBwiki since last year. It is a powerful way to customize the look of wikis, and perhaps add some educational value. I am impressed how easy and intuitive the interface of PBwiki is. I used it last year for a literature class to keep track of their reading notes; I recall few problems of students who were unable to find their way around. One of the educator's biggest challenges with using Wikis is to give students additional reasons to look at the wiki. I don't want them to write their responses. I also want them to look at what other people say as well.
