Last night's class featured the use of conditional formatting and sorting of spreadsheets. These techniques are valuable when dealing with a large amount of data. The test scores became much easier to interpret when the data was formatted or sorted. It was also pointed out these same techniques could be applied to statistical information gathered for athletics. I currently compile all my stats the "old-fashioned way". These formatting techniques could greatly aid my ability to scout opposing teams by sorting their data according to common opponents, leading scorers, latest games, etc.
