One of the websites presented last night in class was IDesktoptv. I used a clip from the site today in my history class. The site allowed me to play the clip without signing up or joining, which was nice. It was easy to use and the students enjoyed it. I did a simple search on the site for World War Two videos, and found a lot of good stuff. The video I chose to show today was an old Bugs Bunny cartoon, kind of poking fun at the Nazis. It was a good change of pace video, because the previous class lecture was on the Holocaust, which isn't fun to lecture about or learn, but necessary. The video today helped lighten the mood. It is a great example of class activities helping us with things we can actually use in our own classrooms.
